Nov. 24 begins a five-week holiday season celebration filled with events, shows and performances at Seattle Center Winterfest. Skate at the ice rink, ride the carousel while listening to holiday music at Fisher Pavilion, and watch the variety of holiday performances - from African dancers to Big Band music. At Center House, see the turn-of-the-century model train wind its way through snow-capped mountains and a country village. Many of the events are free for the public. The season starts with the tree-lighting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24. Seattle Center Winterfest presented by KING 5 the Home Team is Seattle’s premier location for creating holiday memories. Winterfest is five weeks of traditional favorites like the ice rink, holiday train, sparkling lights, sporting events, exhibits, arts and cultural events and much more.
